Our Detachment is based in Wilmington, NC, meeting at the Elks Lodge on Oleander Drive the thrid Thursday of every month. We invite any MCL member to join us at our meetings whenever they are in town on vacation. Our current membership is 148 strong. Along with other ongoing projects we are involved in the restoration of Marine positions aboard the USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial. (currently restoring the 1.10 inch gun located on the port side of the ship) (Update: the 1.10 inch gun is almost complete, once the Battleship maintiance crew has mounted and bolted it in it's permanant place we will be holding a presentation ceremony with news coverage)
