Meeting location: Our Detachment is based in Wilmington, NC, where we meet at VFW Post 2573 located at 2722 Carolina Beach Road, on the first Tuesday of every month. We invite any MCL member to join us at our meetings whenever they are in town. Our current membership stands at 113 and we have an ongoing recruitment program. Monthly meetings attract about 40-50 members and guests. A meal is served at 6:00 PM, before the program begins.

Monthly meeting programs: The detachment has an active speaker program. At each monthly meeting there is a guest speaker, many of whom are from Camp Lejeune. Recent Marine Corps speakers have included the Commanding Officer of Camp Lejeune, the Commanding Officer of the Marine Corps Air Station at New River, a senior staff NCO from the Camp Lejeune Scout Sniper School, and two staff NCO's from the School of Infantry. Other active duty Marines have presented programs on the Osprey and the Marine Corps Special Operations Command. Occasionally, speakers from the community will talk about current events or their organizations.

Toys For Tots: Our Detachment is very active in the Toys for Tots program, and has begun collection of toys for the 2011 Christmas season.
