From the Department of Alabama Commandant
The Department is proud to Welcome you to our website. We have Detachments in Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, Dothan, Gadsden, Auburn, Athens, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, and now we recently chartered a new Detachment in Anniston. We are extremely proud to welcome the Anniston Marines into the Department of Alabama. If you have questions about joining a Detachment in Alabama, please contact our Department Senior Vice-Commandant. We all stand at the ready to assist you.
The Department of Alabama meets quarterly at the Air National Guard Base in Montgomery. Any and all Marine Corps League members are welcome to attend. The dates for these meetings are flexible so that we do not interfere with the Guards Drilling weekend. Check below for the next scheduled meeting. During Each Quarterly meeting we also conduct a Devil Dog Growl. Our Devil Dog Pack Leader PDD R. C. Smith III conducts a great Pack Meeting and all Devil Pups, Devil Dogs and Pedigree Devil Dogs are welcome to attend. These Growls immediately follow the Department regular meeting.

After Action Report
On the Southeast Division Conference
4-7 March 2010
Marines, if you did not attend the Southeast Division of the Marine Corps League Conference on the weekend of 4-7 March 2010, you missed a great event. This years SE Div Conference was hosted by the P.L. Wilson Detachment in Mobile, Alabama. For those of you that attended the event, I know that you all would agree that the Mobile Marine Corps League Detachment did an outstanding job. The P. L. Wilson Detachment should be extremely proud of their accomplishments.
For those of you that did not attend the weekend festivities, you missed one of the best SE Division Conferences in recent years. I want to encourage everyone to attend each and every Southeast Division Conference as well as the Department of Alabama Annual Convention that will be held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on 11-13 June 2010. We promise that you will have a great time at the Capstone Hotel on the grounds of the University of Alabama.
