Mid-East Division Rifle Raffle To all Marines, Associates and friends of the Marine Corps League, The Mideast Division Rifle Raffle is being conducted by the Mideast Division to generate funds for plaques, certificates and awards and other administrative purposes and your consideration would be greatly appeciated.  This same rifle, The Henry "Golden Boy", is on sale at a local sporting goods store, "Wheelers Sporting Goods", in Elkins, WV for $ 879.00.  So this gives you an idea of the value of this rifle.  The information is provided on the PDF form on how to purchase tickets to win this rifle during the Mid-East Division Conference in Hagerstown, MD on 29 June 2013. You do not have to be a member of the MCL to purchase a ticket(s).  The rifle will be shipped to a local gun shop near where the winner lives so a background check can be conducted as required by law.  All information as to who you make a check/money order payable, and where to mail your tickets and funds is listed on the PDF form.  Thank you in advance for your consideration and good luck to anyone that decides to purchase a ticket for $ 5.00 each, or 5 tickets for $ 20.00. 2014 Marine Corps League National Convention The 2014 National Convention will be held in Charleston, WV. The site was approved during the membership meeting in Mobile, AL. The hotels at the approved site are the Embassy Suites and the Marriott. The hotel rates are: Embassy Suites $ 114.00 plus 12% tax The Marriott is $ 119.00 plus 12% tax. Both sites have free parking. Please pass this info on to all members. Keep an eye on the Calendar of Events as more detailed information will be forthcoming.
