The date and location for the Detachment meeting for Saturday, 9 April, 2011, will meet at the Lock & Dam Park Rome, GA. This the Detachment's annual Picnic. Open to members, wives, children and grandchildren.

PACIFIC WAR RUNION OF HONOR Marine & Navy veterans of World War II, March 13-15, 2011, Winshape Retrat, Rome, GA. For those who could not attend this was a great event, Bruce did a fantastic job of putting this event together and the veterans from all over the country that he contacted that came were, how do I say anything because these men were my father's generation and I knew of these men when I was growing up. Their stories of what they went through and have accomplished in their lives, it is beyond description.

TOYS for TOTS information is as follows:

Toys for Tots 2010 was another great year. Ken Futch did a great job for Rome, the auction and toy distribution went off great. Vern Miller and the group he works with in Polk county did another great job. But to story of all stories is Royce Coker starting a Toys for Tots in Bartow County, this was his first year and the group he put together did a fantastic job.
