Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday February 17th at 1900. If you are in the area that night, stop in, we'd enjoy seeing you there. Check out the improvements we have made to the Landing Zone. We will be looking for people to fill Officer positions soon. Nominations will be made during the February meeting. If you are interested in filling a position, please let us know. You can email me at bigt13316@yahoo.com. We received a request from Carl Jewett who is the Veteran Liaison for the Mesothelioma Center (Abestos.com). This is an organization devoted to assisting veterans through their application processes for VA Benefits, helping them to obtain the maximum benefits for which they are entitled. Carl is the Executive Director of the Veterans Assistance Network, and a retired Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy. Unfortunately, some asbestos-related diseases are not always recognized by the VA, which is why Carl is reaching out to veterans- - in hopes of helping them win the rights to their benefits.
