MARINES!

If you live in the central Nassau County, or Eastern Queens area and you're an honorably discharged former Marine looking to get back in touch with The Corps or if you're presently serving either in the active Marine Corps, the reserves or you're an honorably discharged former FMF Corpsman, looking to connect with other Marines to swap sea stories, share memories, perhaps find an old friend or make some new friends, or if you want to rekindle that special "Esprit de Corps" that only Marines can share, we'd like to meet you and we invite you to join us!

We count among our members, Marine Corps veterans of Pelelui, Okinawa, and Iwo, the Korean War, Viet Nam, Operation Iraqi Freedom and every other "clime and place where we could take a gun." Our membership boasts officers and enlisted, grunts, air wingers, supply personnel, administrators and Marines from every other MOS of the Corps. Our common bond is that we are Marines!

Attention on Deck!
Our June meeting will be held on June 12, 2008. This will be our last meeting until September so make sure to be there! As has become tradition in the detachment, after the meeting we'll be providing some great chow and an open bar! So don't eat dinner that night. Come hungry and come thirsty!

We joined the League to carry on the traditions and Esprit de Corps of the Marine Corps. As a detachment we can only prosper and be successful with our member's support and participation. So come to our meetings, get involved, say hello to old friends and make some new friends.
