DETACHMENT 083 ROCKFORD IL founded 28 May, 1946~~~~~~~~~ February '07 - From the Rockford Files: NEW MEMBER ACCEPTS OFFICE – Marine Don Robson, brand spanking new to the Rockford Detachment, accepted taking the office of Adjutant at our January meeting. Don came from Ohio and along with 2 other new members: Jay Gettings and Jim Creighton (came aboard in 12/06). They are a welcome threesome to our detachment. Don has also accepted the editor post for our Scuttlebutt. Semper Fi. NEW OFFICERS FOR 2007 – Other officers being elected for this year besides Don are; Frosty Eggert – Commandant; Ralph Maushund – Sr. Vice: Don Allen – Jr. Vice; Gary Schroeder – Sgt. At Arms; Tom Hallden – Chaplain; George Norman – Judge advocate; the Paymaster will be appointed by the Commandant. TRANSFER IN PROCESS – Marine Ed Brog, a former officer, is in the process of having his membership transferred from Peoria to Rockford and hopefully by now, the transfer has been completed.
