MCJROTC;
Local MCJROTC Unit to support, Springfield High School
MCJROTC at its essence is a character education program. The program keeps kids in school, helps find their way during the turbulent teenage years, and assists them in becoming productive members of their community.
MCJROTC cadets are eligible for Nationals "Community Service/JROTC Ribbon Bar". They must meet the requirements of: Must not have previously recieved who has demonstrated exemplary service above and beyond the service activities performed by the unit; held a key leadership position and/or directly contributed to the planning, coordination and implementation of a high profile community service/volunteer project; and be in the top 25% of their class in all subjects, including JROTC.
2006-2007 recipients are: Michaela Lisch, Brian Webb, Brandon Shirley, & Stephanie Fouts. 2007-2008 recipients are: William Taylor, Abby Comstock, Casey Bobo, Abbey Brock, Angela Watson, Timmy Turner, Jay Cline, Brandon Zimmer, Mark McAfee, Ryan McDonald, Zach Jewett, Cayla Blevins.
Young Marines "Strengthening the lives of America's Youth"
A youth education and service program for boys & girls 8 through high school. Promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. Focuses on character building, leadership & promotes a healthy drug free lifestyle.
